About Us

The Multicultural Access Project (MAP) seeks to reduce the number of, and tolerance to, domestic violence incidents in multi-ethnic and immigrant communities, and to increase the responsiveness of mainstream communities to battered women and families.

MAP accomplishes this effort through cultural and linguistically appropriate outreach, education collaboration and advocacy.

This project was initiated by the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention Division of the City of Seattle's Human Services Department. It was supported by Grant No. 2003-WE-BX-0049 awarded by the Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice. The opinions, findings, conclusions, and recommendations expressed on this website are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women.
